ADIEU! BLACK CANARY

Dinah Laurel Lance's Funeral Service

The latest episode of Arrow entitled “The Canary Cry” was really touching. We see how everyone is trying to come in terms with the fact that “Laurel” is gone and never returning. Captain Lance really find it hard to believe that his daughter is gone; hoping that the miracle in Thea/Sarah’s case may be the same. But Nyasa had already destroyed the Lazarus pit and no way was Laurel resurrecting back to life.

On the other hand, Team Arrow were blaming themselves for Laurel’s death; John believed if he had listened to Oliver and not trust his brother Andy, Laurel would still be alive. Felicity blamed herself too; feeling that if she had stuck with the team, she could have made some difference and Laurel could probably still be alive. But it was nice to see Oliver be the LIGHT for the rest of the team. First to Felicity and then John. He also helped Captain Lance come in terms with his daughter’s death.
Oliver Queen delivering his Eulogy
Right before she was buried, Oliver demanded to say a few words. In his words, he said “Laurel Lance became a lawyer to become a helper for the helpless and a voice for the silent. But being a lawyer wasn’t enough; She wanted to do more for the people and for the City she loved so much as The Black Canary. He went ahead to end the eulogy saying that Laurel was a hero and would expect us to follow the example she’d set: Saving the City.

The last scene of the Scene was particularly interesting. There, we could to see who’s in the grave shown to us from the early parts of Season 2. Interestingly too, Barry speed up after condoling with Oliver meaning that he somehow got his speed back possibly in the next episode of The Flash.

Now, the big question on our mouths is: Will Oliver be able to defeat Damien Dahrk? And if he’s able, will he be able to kill him or end up locking him away like Slade Wilson? Well, let’s tune in to the remaining four episodes of Arrow.
